Sri Kolari is a self-taught Indian photojournalist, who is currently a UN contracted photographer based in India.
He spends time travelling through Asia, Africa & South America working in conflict afflicted regions and documenting individuals and cultural groups affected by natural disasters, war, poverty and prejudice.
Since 2004 he has worked as a professional consultant with various INGOs and publications. The projects he has been involved in include the aftermaths of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, the 2015 Nepal earthquake, drought in Ethiopia, urban poverty in Kenya, maternal health, HIV and Aids, violence against women, bonded labour, sustainable farming, child trafficking, child labour, child rights, disaster relief work, transgender community discrimination, drug addiction, environmental issues and health.
Having worked as a professional photojournalist for over 18 years he has developed a broad understanding of different people and diverse cultures. His ability to connect, understand and build trust with subjects, enables him to share their experiences in an authentic way.
